【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesastandardimmersionprocedureforinvestigatingthechemicalresistanceofageosynthetictoaliquidwaste,leachate,orchemical.Theconditionsspecifiedinthispracticeareintendedbothtoprovideabasisofstandardizationandtoserveasaguideforthosewishingtocompareorinvestigatethechemicalresistanceofageosyntheticmaterial(s).Thispracticeisnotintendedtoestablish,byitself,thebehaviorofgeosyntheticswhenexposedtoliquids.Suchbehavior,referredtoaschemicalresistance,canbedefinedonlyintermsofspecificchemicalsolutionsandmethodsoftestingandevaluationcriteriaselectedbytheuser.Withoutregulatoryapproval,thispracticedoesnotsupersedetestingrequirements,suchasSW846,Method9090,stipulatedbyregulatoryagencies.1.1Thispracticecoverslaboratoryimmersionproceduresforthetestingofgeosyntheticsforchemicalresistancetoliquidwastes,preparedchemicalsolutions,andleachatesderivedfromsolidwastes.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardsstatements,seeSection7.
